ReplyDeleteThanks, he's gorgeous :-)
ReplyDeleteAt the beginning of every round you say for example: 2sc, sc 4 Do you mean begin round with an increase and then 4 sc in next 4 stitches?
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly! Sorry for the confusion. :)
Delete2sc, sc 4 = 2sc in one stitch, 1sc in each of next 4 stitches.
DeleteHi. I would like to make this bear for charity. Is this pattern ok or are there still errors. Thank you
DeleteLeuk beertje, hartelijke dank voor het patroontje.
ReplyDeletewhat are the errors?
ReplyDeleteThe main one I noticed when working this pattern was when switching from body to head, specifically round 31. Decreasing around on 48 stitches leads to 24, not 22. This throws off the subsequent rounds until round 34 when you are back to multiples of 6.
DeleteI also found it's better when decreasing the body and attaching arms to not strictly follow instructions, and to instead just put the decreases in his armpits to hide the "seams"
Could you explain round 1 of the arm? I don't understand how to increase it to 12 stitches because I don't see any 2sc's. Also, is the arm crocheted in the round?
ReplyDeleteyou are working on the opposite side with another 6 stitches.
ReplyDeleteI wish this was written better. Instructions aren’t clear at most steps.
ReplyDeleteVery anxious to see the updated pattern and video you are developing.
ReplyDeleteVideo tutorial would be so helpful for me as a visual learner. Do you have a Youtube channel?
ReplyDeleteI'm confused on the muzzle. I keep looking and counting, and following the first row, I'm getting 16 stitches to start 2 tgthr, 4 sc, 2 tghtr (2x), 4 sc, 2 tgthr. Anyone else?
ReplyDeleteTwo crochet hook sizes are listed but the pattern fails to specify which one should be used. :-/
ReplyDeleteCan someone please explain how I get from 48 stitches to 68 stitches between row 23 and 24? I am not sure how to do the decreases since I only have 48 stitches, not 68. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHow do I fully attach the arms to the body? I'm so confused...
Deleteyou crochet the regular stitch in the body, but put the hook through the arm stitch as well for 8 stitches. Then, continue only on the body until you're ready to attach the second arm. At that point you put your hook through both the body and the stitch in the arm to complete the stitch for 8 stitches. then continue around. The arms, at this point, will hang off the body like two little cups on the side. the next round, you are working on the body until you get to the arm. Then you crochet around the outside of the arm in all but the 8 stitches you used to attach it in the previous round. As you decrease with each round, the top of the arms will naturally finish off into the neck. Hope that helps. I personally don't follow the weird decreases. I see that there are so many decreases in the round and just disperse them evenly. I also hold the body and press it flat with the legs so I know where to attach the arms. I mark the sides and make sure I have even number of stitches between each arm join. There's a reply about this further back in the thread.
DeleteSilly me, I figured it out.
DeleteIs your instructional video published? If so, could you provide the link? There is no instruction on when to stuff the pieces. Could you provide that info? Thank you!
