FINISHING

For a finished looking edge: use brown yarn and work one row of reverse sc on each side of the blanket.

FRINGE

Cut extra lengths of yarn approximately 10-12 in / 25-30 cm long.

Add extra fringe to blanket where desired by taking 2 strands of yarn and holding them together, fold them in half and use the crochet hook to pull them through the edge of the blanket.

Tie fringe in bunches of 6 strands by making a knot where the fringe meets the blanket.

Tip: When tying fringe, it’s best to start with tying the rows with the color stripes first, if you want the stripes to match up with the fringe. (I learned this the hard way when making the last blanket pattern)

You may trim the fringe to be as even or as short as you would like.
