FINISHING

Place both blanket halves together with RS facing you.

Work Joining Row, or sew both halves together.

Joining Row: With light brown yarn; (Remember to start with a 5-6 in / 12.5-15 cm tail for fringe) Place a loop or slip knot on hook and insert hook into first st on top row, Y/O and pull through all loops on hook to perform a slip stitch, then work one dc into the first st on bottom row. *Insert hook into next st on top row, Y/O and pull through all loops on hook to perform a slip stitch, then work one dc into next st on bottom row. Repeat from * to end of row. Slip stitch in same st as last slip stitch made and F/O, leaving a 5-6 in / 12.5-15 cm tail for fringe.

For a finished looking edge: use dark brown yarn and work one row of reverse sc on each side of the blanket.

FRINGE

Cut extra lengths of yarn approximately 10-12 in / 25-30 cm long.

Add extra lengths of yarn to blanket by taking 2 strands of yarn and holding them together, fold them in half and use the crochet hook to pull them through the edge of the blanket on each dc row.

Tie fringe in bunches of 6 strands by making a knot where the fringe meets the blanket.

You may trim the fringe to be as even or as short as you would like.
