Materials:
  • Red Heart Super Saver; Buff, Cafe Latte
  • size G (4mm) crochet hook
  • stuffing
  • yarn needle
  • 2 buttons

Instructions:

HEAD
With Buff, start with a magic ring and 6 sc into ring. (Or, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook.)
Round 1: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Round 2: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st)around. (18)
Round 3: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st)around. (24)
Round 4: (Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st)around. (30)
Round 5: (Sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st)around. (36)
Round 6: (Sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st)around. (42)
Round 7: (Sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st)around. (48)
Round 8: (Sc in next 7 sts, 2 sc in next st)around. (56)
Round 9: (Sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st)around. (62)
Rounds 10-13 (4 rounds): Sc in each st around. (62)

Thread yarn through remaining sts.

BODY
With Buff, ch 7.
Round 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 5 sts, turn to work on opposite side of chain and sc in each of next 6 sts. (12)
Round 2: (2 sc, sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc)twice. (16)
Round 3: (2 sc in next 2 sts, sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next 2 sts)twice. (24)
Round 4: (2 sc in next 2 sts, sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next 2 sts)twice. (32)
Rounds 5-16 (12 rounds): Sc in each st around. (32)
Fasten off Buff.
Attach Cafe Latte by pulling up a loop or slip knot through the last two loops worked.
Rounds 17-19 (3 rounds): Sc in each st around. (32)
Fasten off Cafe Latte.
Attach Buff by pulling up a loop or slip knot through the last two loops worked.
Round 20: Sc in each st around. (32)
Add stuffing as you continue.
Round 21: (Dec twice, sc in next 8 sts, dec twice)twice. (24)
Round 22: (Dec twice, sc in next 4 sts, dec twice)twice. (16)
Round 23: (Dec, sc in next 4 sts, dec)twice. (12)
Fasten off, leaving a length of yarn for sewing.
Sew body closed across the top.

ARMS & LEGS
Make 4.
With Cafe Latte, start with a magic ring and 6 sc into ring. (Or, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook.)
Round 1: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rounds 2-9 (8 rounds): Sc in each st around. (12)
Round 10: (Dec, sc in next 4 sts)twice. (10)
Round 11: Sc in each st around. (10)
Add stuffing as you continue.
Round 12: (Dec, sc in next 3 sts)twice. (8)
Round 13: Sc in each st around. (8)
Round 14: (Dec, sc in next 2 sts)twice. (6)
Fasten off, leaving a length of yarn for sewing.

MUZZLE
With Cafe Latte, start with a magic ring and 6 sc into ring. (Or, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook.)
Round 1: (2 sc, sc in next st)three times. (9)
Fasten off Cafe Latte.
Attach Buff by pulling up a loop or slip knot through the last two loops worked.
Round 2: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc)three times. (12)
Round 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc)around. (18)
Rounds 4-5: Sc in each st around. (18)
Sl st in next st and fasten off, leaving a length of yarn for sewing.

EARS
Make 2.
With Cafe Latte, start with a magic ring and 6 sc into ring. (Or, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook.)
Round 1: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Round 2: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st)around. (18)
Rounds 3-4: Sc in each st around. (18)
Fasten off, leaving a length of yarn for sewing.
Do not stuff ears.

EYE PATCHES
With Cafe Latte, start with a magic ring and 6 sc into ring. (Or, ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook.)
Round 1: (2 sc, sc in next st)three times. (9)
Round 2: (2 sc in next 2 sts, sc in next st)three times. (15)
Round 3: Sc, (2 sc in next 2 sts, sc in next 3 sts)three times, sc in next 2 sts. (21)
Round 4: Sc in next 2 sts, (2 sc in next 2 sts, sc in next 5 sts)three times, sc in next 3 sts. (27)
Sl st in next st and fasten off, leaving a length of yarn for sewing.

ASSEMBLY
Sew the narrow side of the head to the seam where you finished creating the body.
Sew the arms to either side of the bear, making sure to match them up with the same color on the body.
Sew the legs to the body.
Sew the eye patches to the head before you sew the muzzle to the head.
Place the muzzle slightly on top of the eye patches and sew to head, while adding stuffing.
Flatten ears and sew to either side of head.
Place the buttons where you want the bears eyes to be and sew them in place.
