Black & White Striped Pillow Cover





Finished Size: approx. 16x16 inches / 40x40 cm

Gauge: 16 stitches x 22 rows = 4 in / 10 cm on size US 9 / UK 5 (5.5 mm) needles

Materials:
  • Lion Brand Vanna's Choice;
    1-2 skeins “White”
    2-3 skeins “Black”
  • size US 9 / UK 5 (5.5mm) knitting needles
  • yarn needle
  • fabric for lining (optional)
  • 16 inch / 40 cm zipper (optional)

Instructions:

FRONT PANEL
With black yarn, cast on 64 stitches.
Knit 12 rows St st.
*Attach white yarn and work 3 rows St st.
Attach black yarn and continuing to work in St st, work 1 row.
Repeat from * 15 more times for a total of 16 white stripes.
Fasten off white yarn.
With black yarn, work 11 more rows in St st.
Bind off all stitches.

BACK PANEL
1) Work same as Front Panel.
2) With black yarn, cast on 64 stitches and work in St st until piece measures approx. 16 inches / 40 cm or until the Back Panel is close to the same size as the Front Panel.

With right sides of panels held together, sew up 3 sides. Turn inside out and insert pillow form. Now, you can choose to sew up the last side of the pillow OR sew in a lining and a zipper to make this pillow cover removable.
