Small Ox Amigurumi Pattern

SMALL OX AMIGURUMI DOLL
(a smaller version of the Ox Pattern)

FINISHED SIZE: ~5 inches (from top of mohawk to base)

MATERIALS:
Lion Brand Jiffy; Country Green (A), Silver Heather (B), Denim (C)
size I crochet hook (or whichever size results in stitches tight enough to prevent stuffing from showing through)
9mm black safety eyes
stuffing
yarn needle

Some stitches/abbreviations used in this pattern:
Dec 1 = Insert hook in next stitch and pull up a loop (2 loops on hook). Now, insert hook into the next stitch and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook). Yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook. [1 stitch has been decreased]
BLO = Back Loops Only


HEAD:
Using A, start with a magic ring.
Ch 1, 6 sc in ring.
2 sc in ea st around. (12)

LEGS:

HORNS:

EARS:
Make 2.
Using A, ch 4.

SNOUT:
Using C, start with a magic ring.
Ch 1, 5 sc in ring.
2 sc in ea st around. (10)
Sc in BLO of ea st around.
Sl st in next st.
Fasten off, leaving a length of yarn for sewing.
With A, embroider nostrils.

MOHAWK/MANE:
With C, *ch 4.
Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in ea remaining ch.
Repeat from * 4 more times.
Fasten off, leaving a tail of yarn for sewing.

TAIL:
With A, ch 5.
Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in ea remaining ch.
Fasten off, leaving a tail of yarn for sewing.
Attach 2 small scraps of C to end of tail by drawing them through and knotting them.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew arms and legs to body. (I did not stuff the arms or legs, but they might benefit from a little stuffing.)
Sew tail to rear of body.
Stuff snout with the stray ends of yarn and sew to head.
Place safety eyes on either side of snout.
Sew mohawk/mane to top of head.
Sew horns to sides of head and sew the ears just below the horns.

Shark Amigurumi

SHARK AMIGURUMI PATTERN
(Based on the Orca Pattern)

FINISHED SIZE: ~4 inches

MATERIALS:
Lion Brand Jiffy; Silver Heather (A), White (B)
small amount of black yarn for embroidering
size J crochet hook (or whichever hook size results in stitches tight enough to prevent stuffing from showing through)
9mm black safety eyes
yarn needle
stuffing


BODY:

Top:

Using A, start with a magic ring. Ch 1, 5 sc in ring.
2 sc in ea st around. (10)
(2 sc in next st, sc in next st)around. (15)
(2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts)around. (20)
(2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts)around. (25)
(2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts)around. (30)
Sc in ea st around for 5 rounds.
Sl st in next st.
Fasten off.

Base:
Using B, start with a magic ring. Ch 1, 5 sc in ring.
2 sc in ea st around. (10)

(2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts)around. (20)
(2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts)around. (25)

Fasten off, leaving a length of yarn for sewing.
(In order to create the sharks teeth, it is important that white yarn be used to sew Body Top to Base.)

FINS:
Make 5.
Using A, start with a magic ring. Ch 1, 4 sc in ring.
Sc in ea st around.

Sc in ea st around for 3 rounds.
Fasten off, leaving a length of yarn for sewing.

ASSEMBLY:
With black yarn, embroider gills on sides of Body Top.
Place safety eyes just in front of gills and secure.
Sew Body Top to Body Base, adding stuffing throughout this process.
Sew one fin to top of shark.
Sew one fin to either side of shark, beneath gills.
Sew two fins (vertically) to the rear of the shark to create the tail.
With white yarn, embroider teeth (just vertical lines in the example) somewhat randomly.

SCRAP (NO DECREASE) BUNNY AMIGURUMI PATTERN

FINISHED SIZE: ~5 inches (from top of ears to base)

Scrap Teddy Amigurumi




SCRAP TEDDY AMIGURUMI PATTERN
FINISHED SIZE: ~3.5-4 inches

scrap yarn in colors A (bear color), B (shirt color), C (pants color), and black (Lion Brand Jiffy yarn in Cafe (A), Country Green (B), Navy (C), True Red, Camel (straw hat) and Black are the colors used for the examples)
crochet hook, sized to ensure that stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing from showing through (size I hook used for examples)
yarn needle

PJ TEDDY:


Work same as for T-shirt teddy. Use one and only one color when crocheting the following segments: arms, legs, body, nightcap. Also, only make one ear, as the cap will sit tilted a little to one side.


NIGHTCAP:
Start with a magic ring.
Ch1, 4 sc in ring.
Sc in ea st around for 2 rounds.
(2 sc in next st, sc in next st)twice. (6)
Sc in ea st around.
(2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts)twice. (8)
Sc in ea st around.
(2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts)twice. (10)
Sc in ea st around.

Using another piece of scrap yarn in the same color used to crochet the pajamas, fold down and sew the corner of the nightcap to itself.
FARMER TEDDY:
Work same as for T-shirt teddy and embroider overalls on the finished bear. Also, make only one ear, as the straw hat will list a little to one side.

STRAW HAT:
Start with a magic ring.
Ch1, 5 sc in ring.
2 sc in ea st around. (10)
Sc in BLO of ea st around.
(2 sc in next st, sc in next st)around. (15)
(2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts)around. (20)
Sl st in next st.
Fasten off.
Fold up the edges of hat around the center.
SANTA TEDDY:


Work same as for T-shirt teddy.
Work body using Red.
To make the boots, use Black and work same as for legs.
To make the Santa cap, work same as for the nightcap pattern; use White for the first 2 rounds and for the last round of cap, use Red for the rounds in between. (folding down the cap and sewing it to itself is optional)
Make only one ear, as the cap will sit tilted a little to one side.
The arms will be worked mostly the same, but with one additional color change and an additional round.




ARMS:

Make 2.

Using A, start with a magic ring.

Ch1, 5 sc in ring.
Fasten off A and switch to White.
Sc in ea st around.
Fasten off White and switch to Red.
Sc in ea st around for 2 rounds.
Sl st in next st.
Fasten off, leaving a tail of yarn for sewing.


WALDO TEDDY: Work same as for T-shirt teddy.
Work pants using blue yarn, and work shirt alternating between red and white yarn.
 

ARMS:
Make 2.

Using A, start with a magic ring.

Ch1, 5 sc in ring.
Fasten off A.
Attach Red by pulling up loop of red yarn through last two loops that were worked.
Sc in ea st around.
Fasten off Red and attach White.
Sc in ea st around.
Sl st in next st.
Fasten off, leaving a tail of yarn for sewing.

WALDO HAT:
Using Red, start with a magic ring.
Ch1, 6 sc in ring.
Sc in ea st around for 2 rounds.
Fasten off Red and attach White.

Fasten off White and attach Red.

COLA TEDDY:
Work same as for T-shirt teddy, except work the entire teddy in white yarn only.

*Using Grey, start with a magic ring.

Ch1, 8 sc in ring.

Sl st in next st.
Fasten off.
Repeat from * once more.
Attach Red.
Sc in BLO of ea st around.
Sc in ea st around for 3 rounds.
Sl st in next st.
Fasten off, leaving a tail of yarn for sewing.
Stuff the yarn ends inside the can and sew the 2nd lid to the open end.
With white yarn, embroider a bit of handwriting-like "scribble" on the red part of the can.
