HEAD:
Start with a magic ring.
Ch 1, 6 sc in ring.

Sew head to body by aligning the corresponding stitches and sewing them to one another.

Attach legs, checking every so often as you are sewing to make sure that the alien sits upright.

Ant Amigurumi Pattern

Stuff.

Sc2tog around. (5)

Fasten off.

Draw yarn through remaining sts and pull tight.

THORAX:
Start with a magic ring.
Ch 1, 6 sc in ring.

Draw yarn through remaining sts and pull tight.

ABDOMEN:

Attach yarn to the side of the ant's thorax and anchor with a ch st.

*Sl st in joining space. Ch 9. Skipping the first ch, sl st in next 8 sts.

Repeat from * once.

Fasten off and secure yarn ends.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew the bulkier end of the head to one end of the thorax, and sew the bulkier end of the abdomen to the other end of the thorax.

Embroider eyes on either side of head.

Create two antennae between the ant's eyes as follows:

Attach yarn and anchor with a ch st.

Ch 5. Turn. Sl st in second ch from hook and in next 3 chains.

Fasten off and secure it to the head.

Scrapmonster Pattern

This pattern is so simple, I almost didn't bother posting it. Personally, I think there is room for MUCH improvement on this particular design. When I made it, I was just kind of flying by the seat of my pants. So, definitely feel free to experiment with this one. You will most likely end up with a better, or, at least more unique, finished product than the one in the photo here.

However, for the sake of being as specific as possible in describing the pattern that resulted in the given photo, I have written the pattern up with the materials I used to create it.)
